Tanja & Marty - Engaged

Tanja and Marty. Where to begin. The first time I met Tanja was in a coffee shop on Main Street. I was super nervous, because Tanja is the first bride I've worked with who I didn't already know--she was recommended by a friend. So there I was, a big bundle of nerves, when this sweet woman with the biggest smile comes walking in. I was immediately drawn into her happy, bubbly personality and the nerves were gone, just like that. Even in the few times I've gotten to be around Tanja, I can't help but notice that she draws people in like that; the wedding coordinator, myself, her fiance...she just lights up the room and everyone can't help but smile along. I loved getting to hang out with her and Marty for an hour or two and document their sweetness. There were definitely times when they forgot that I was even there taking pictures of them, and that is exactly the way I like it. Yes, I like to be forgotten. Future couples, keep that in mind!

At this point, I had them walking ahead of me holding hands. "Okay," I said, "that's good, you guys can come back over here now." I turned back around and they hadn't even heard me. There was too much giggling and playing going on. So I brought my camera back up and kept on shooting. They had the better idea, anyway.

Her ring is so unique and beautiful. It belonged to Marty's grandmother, who gave it to him to give to Tanja.

Tanja and Marty, thanks for a fun afternoon. I can't wait for your wedding. :)

Coming up soon: my first post with my new camera. And just when you thought it couldn't get better...there's a cute puppy involved.
