Rachel & Nathan - Married!

Rachel and Nathan were what I hope to be on my wedding day. They were relaxed, calm, and seriously bursting with happiness. I love seeing couples that get what it's really all about--not place cards, or perfect pictures, or in what order the bridal party will be announced at the reception. These two were so excited and happy and calm because they knew that by the end of the day they were going to be married!! And that's all that matters. After the reception we left to take a few more pictures, and I asked them what their favorite part of the day was. They both said the ceremony, which is actually more rare than you would think...for a lot of people that's a blur. But for them, the commitment they were making to each other was the most important thing and so that was the best part of the day. Rachel and Nathan, you are a wonderful example of a couple who is not only in love but also best friends. It was an honor to shoot your wedding!
Love this ring shot from my awesome second shooter Maggie!
There were plenty of tear-worthy moments at this one. Dads and daughters always get me...mostly because mine will probably cry like a baby!
Another great shot from Maggie of the groom and his mom!
Well hello, random playground that perfectly matches the wedding colors!
Like father, like daughter! ;)
They cut their "cake" (donuts...awesome) with an electric bread cutter that someone had given them as a wedding gift. Never seen that one before!!
After the reception we caught a few more pictures in the pretty light to end the day.
Nathan and Rachel, congratulations again. And thank you for teaching me that electric cake cutters exist.
